English classes selected for the Global Program for Japanese Studies are focused on improving students’ communicative competence in English.
Requirements for the English cluster (For those enrolled in or after FY2020）
The minimum requirement for the General English cluster is 6 credits, and the maximum number of credits that can be included in the Global Program for Japanese Studies from this cluster is 10 credits. For the Specialized English cluster, the minimum requirements is 2 credits, and the maximum number of credits that can be included in the program is 8 credits.

Requirements for the English Communication cluster (For those enrolled in FY2016-FY2019)
The minimum requirement for "English Communication" is 8 credits, and the maximum number of credits that can be included in the Global Program for Japanese Studies from this cluster is 24 credits. (for those who enrolled in or after FY2016) You are recommended to take English Communication class repeatedly in order to improve your English ability.
